This new feature makes transactions easy and secure, without needing to visit a website or use another app.
Initially, only a few businesses will have access to this feature, but more will be added in the coming months.
Users can find businesses, browse their products or services, add items to their cart, and pay using just a few taps on WhatsApp.
Payments can be made with Mastercard and Visa debit, credit, and pre-paid cards from participating banks.
Small businesses using the WhatsApp Business app can link a supported payment partner to accept payments securely.
WhatsApp ensures secure payments by encrypting card numbers and requiring a Payment PIN for each transaction. Customer support is also available if needed.
